1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, accessing, or using Jameyya (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Jameyya is a mobile application that helps users organize and track rotating money pools (Jameyya / جمعية), shared chores, and group responsibilities. The App is a coordination and tracking tool only — it does not handle, transfer, or process money.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction) to use Jameyya. By using the App, you represent that you meet this requirement. Users between 13 and 18 should use the App under parental supervision, especially for money pool features.

4. Your Account

You are responsible for: maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials, all activities that occur under your account, providing accurate and current information, and notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use.

5. Money Pool Disclaimer

Jameyya does not handle money. Read this carefully.

Jameyya is a digital tracking and coordination tool. We do not hold, store, transfer, or facilitate any money. We do not process payments. We are not a financial institution, payment processor, escrow service, or regulated financial entity.

All money transfers between members occur entirely outside the App, directly between the parties. Jameyya is not a party to any financial agreement between you and other group members.

You acknowledge that:

You are solely responsible for verifying contributions and confirming payouts
You are solely responsible for resolving disputes with other group members
Jameyya has no obligation, ability, or authority to recover lost funds or enforce agreements between members
Participating in money pools carries inherent financial risk that you alone bear
You will only join pools with people you genuinely trust

6. User Conduct

You agree NOT to:

Use the App for any illegal purpose or in violation of any laws
Use the App to defraud, deceive, or harm others
Impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation
Upload harmful, abusive, threatening, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable content
Harass, threaten, or intimidate other users
Attempt to bypass any security or rate-limiting features
Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code
Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the App
Resell, redistribute, or sublicense access to the App
Use the App in any way that could disable, overburden, or impair our systems

7. User Content

You retain ownership of any content you submit to the App (group names, comments, photos, etc.). By submitting content, you grant Jameyya a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, store, display, and distribute that content solely to operate the App.

You are solely responsible for the content you submit and warrant that you have the right to submit it. We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms.

8. Subscription and Promo Codes

Some features may be designated as "Pro" features. Currently, all Pro features are unlocked for all users at no cost. In the future, Pro features may require a paid subscription, which will be processed via the Apple App Store under their standard subscription terms.

Promo codes may grant temporary or lifetime Pro access. Each user is limited to redeeming one promo code total. Promo codes have no cash value, are non-transferable, and may be revoked or expired at our discretion. We reserve the right to invalidate promo codes obtained through fraud or abuse.

9. Privacy

Your use of Jameyya is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

10. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, logos, and trademarks (including "Jameyya"), is owned by Younis Al Sulaimi and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.

11. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The App is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Jameyya disclaims all warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranties arising from course of dealing or usage.

We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free from viruses or other harmful components.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Jameyya, its operators, and affiliates shall NOT be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including but not limited to: loss of profits, loss of data, loss of trust, loss of funds in money pools, disputes with other members, missed payments, or business interruption — regardless of the cause and even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total cumulative liability to you, for any cause whatsoever, shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the past 12 months (or AED 100 if you have not paid anything).

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Jameyya and its operators from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from: your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, your violation of any third-party rights, any content you submit, and any disputes between you and other users (including money pool disputes).

13. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time and delete your account via Settings → Account → Delete Account, or by emailing support@jameyya.com.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without notice, for any reason including violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately.

14. Changes to the App and Terms

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the App at any time. We may update these Terms periodically. Material changes will be notified via the App or email. Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

15. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Before initiating any formal legal action, you agree to first contact us at support@jameyya.com to attempt good-faith resolution.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

17. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Jameyya regarding the App.
